PICCOLA ORCHESTRA GIOVANILE DELL’ETNA was founded in 2017 on the initiative of the Associazione Musicale Etnea as an ensemble laboratory, directed by Puccio Castrogiovanni, composer, arranger and multi-instrumentalist, also known as founder of the band “Lautari”. This 13 piece orchestra offers original Sicilian songs for a new contemporary folk music. The formation boasts instruments of popular tradition such as bagpipe, friscaletti (Sicilian whistle) marranzani (jews arp), accordion, tambourines and mandolins that combine with more modern sounds and other instruments from all around the world... JACARÀNDA comes to Subotica within the Tremolo project supported by the Creative Europe programme. More info about the ensemble: HERE
