CALL FOR APPLICATION

Desiré Central Station 2010

We are happy to announce that the Kosztolanyi Dezso Theater has begun the preparations for its second international theatre festival (Desiré Central Station 2010) motivated by the success of the first festival Desire Central Station 2009.
This year’s festival will be held in November with the subheading: North/South.

The organizing team of DCS 2010 is looking for performances to put in the program of the festival!

We are looking forward to receiving applications until 30th August 2010, to the following address:

The application should contain the technical rider of the performance, the approximate costs of transportation and performance, and also a recording of the performance on DVD.

This is the website of the DESRIÉ CENTRAL STATION 2009 – WEST – International/Regional Theatre Festival in Subotica/Serbia.

DESIRÉ – Besides its primary meaning (a. A wish or longing. b. A request or petition. c. The object of longing. d. Sexual appetite; passion.):

1. A nickname of poet and writer from Subotica Dezső Kosztolányi

2. Desiré’s Tram, as the title of series of artistic programmes by Kosztolányi Dezső Theatre since 2006

3. Our old wish (as a logical continuation of the above mentioned artistic series) that Subotica finally gets its internatinal / regional theatre festival, for what we do not have to wait any more indeed.
