It’s not the time of my life

Eszter, her husband Farkas and their five-year- old son Bruno are paid an unexpected visit in the middle of the night. Eszter’s sister Ernella, her husband Albert and daughter Laura have returned from a year spent in Scotland where, contrary to expectations, they weren’t able to settle down. It soon becomes clear that the two families have never really been in tune with one another.

“We are trying to talk about ourselves. About our desires, doubts, anxieties. Routine, family, children, parents. Perhaps by talking about ourselves we talk about many other people too. We are not special. Our problems are similar. Issues surround us; they should only be captured and narrated somehow. In a movie or a letter, in the bus stop or on the phone, it doesn't matter. This time in the theatre.” – Szabolcs Hajdu

“...couple therapy, a piece about our society’s current mood, and an abstract psychodrama, all at once...” – Bence Kránicz, vs.hu
